Books at Smith Family Bookstore
- Visit either of our stores. Parking is limited but available. Biking, walking, and public buses make your visits easy. Elevators make both stores completely accessible. Come see us.
- Call us. If the line is busy, it’s because we are helping someone else.
Note: We do not keep our inventory on a computerized database, but our stores are well organized and staffed by helpful, knowledgeable people whose main job is to help customers find books. If you don’t have the author’s name, aren’t sure of the title’s exact wording, or are uncertain what the book is about, we can usually look up this information. Remember, we rely on people not computers to search for books on the shelves.
Special Orders
We are happy to place special orders for new books, but our current policy requires that any special orders be picked up at one of our stores. If the book you want is in stock at the area distributor, and you order it by 11:00 am on Thursday morning, we usually will have it the next day (Friday). Most special orders receive a 10% discount off the new price.
Other Options
If our stores do not have the book you are looking for, consider contacting locally owned independent bookstores in your area or searching online for available copies from other dealers.
